Cambridge Hotel reviews

We would recommend this hotel as a lovely start to your holiday. We stayed overnight, before our long haul flight We had an excellent meal and drink in restaurant. Transfers/driver very good and reliable. We left car for 2 weeks feeling confident. A lovely start which enabled us to have a wonderful holiday.

When we arrived at Gatwick we followed the instructions and arrived at the Bay, made phone call as told and then had to wait 45 minutes which was not great especially as it was Friday afternoon. I don't think we will stay there again as during the 45 minutes we must have seen around 200 passengers arrive and they were picked up before us.

Would never use again. I booked 3 adults and 1 child and ended up with bunk beds 1 adult on a bunk bed that was too small for him , the room was far too small for 4 people it was a double bedded room , but they had stuck bunk bed in to it and called it a family room , far too small a room for that . Bar staff need to learn English better. Very poor no children's menu , or anything on the main menu that was for a childs taste. Waited for ever for the return pickup from the airport to collect car had to ring twice ....very poor . The hotel is shabby and in need of a refit , holes in walls .

The Cambridge provides excellent value for money. A well-presented traditional Hotel. Large room with very comfortable Double bed & bathroom with toiletries. Tea making facilities also provided . Welcoming Staff , good on-site parking facilities & regular shuttlebus to Gatwick. Would definitely use again.

The hotel is near to Gatwick and so transfer times are minimal 15 minutes. The hotel I suspect operates 1/2 service to airport and we were quickly met on our return. Not quite as secure as say Airparks sites are but car was moved close to hotel entrance on our return so no walks across dirty car parks.

The room was extremely spacious & clean. The reception & bar staff were very helpful. Meal was quite adequate & nicely served. The best aspect of our stay was the 24hr transport to & from the airport & the 15 day car parking. All extremely good value for money.

On Arrival at the hotel there was ample parking, check in was easy, we were asked about transfers to the airport and at what time we would require pick up. Room was very large and clean, there was a large bar/lounge and thecbarman was friendly and helpful. We recommend the evening meal, great variety menu, fabulous food. Again all staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wake up call in the morning, and we came to reception at the agreed time, our driver was waiting, carried out our bags and swiftly took us to Gatwick airport. We were given a leaflet which told us where to go to be picked up after our holiday which also included the hotel telephone number. On arrival back into the uk we were glad we had the leaflet because without it we were lost. We rang the hotel, they arrange for the minibus to pick us up and in around 15 mins were on our way back to the hotel. Once more we were greeted with a friendly smile we checked out and our car was waiting in the compound. We can recommend the Cambridge hotel to anyone, value for money!!

Arrived at hotel and parked car, checked in, room was lovely and better than I had expected, had a good nights sleep and our transport was outside waiting for us the next morning to take us to airport. All in all a perfect start to our holiday. Thank you.

we didnt arrive until very late in the evening but were made extremely welcome. We ate in the dining room and could not fault the menu also extensive range for the children.staff were very helpful and polite and made our transfer to gatwick effortless.
