If you're leaving from the South Terminal, you can take the free 24-hour monorail service that runs every 3 minutes and takes around 2 minutes.

If the Summer Special Parking package is selected:

  • Transfers: Transfers operate between the car park and the North Terminal 24 hours a day, every 20 minutes. If you are flying from the South Terminal you should take the free 24 hour monorail service from the North Terminal, which runs every 3 minutes and takes around 2 minutes. You should allow around 30 minutes to drive to the car park and transfer from there to the airport. On occasion there is a service to and from the South Terminal. Please check this with the car park operator on arrival. If the service to the South Terminal is unavailable please use the free 24 hour monorail service.
  • Returns: Returning home, transfers to and from the North terminal operate every 20 minutes 24 hours a day to return you to the car park. On occasion there is a service to and from the South Terminal. Please check this with the car park operator on arrival. If the service to the South Terminal is unavailable please use the free 24-hour monorail service.
    Your car will be brought back to the returns area close to the reception building ready for collection on your return.


parking arrangements

PLEASE NOTE: From 1st February 2011, there will be no parking available on-site at the Gatwick Sofitel for a period of approximately 7 months due to a new development on the hotel car park. In the interim, parking will be available at the airport Short Stay car park directly opposite the hotel, or at the airport Long Stay car park, which provides transport back to the North Terminal. For guests who have booked the Maple Manor Meet and Greet parking package, please continue to the hotel and a Maple Manor representative will meet you in the pickup/drop-off area at the front of the hotel. Please ensure you still call them approximately 20 minutes prior to your arrival, as requested in your confirmation email.

It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy, holds a valid MOT certificate and displays a valid road tax licence. The car park will not accept your vehicle if these requirements are not met.

Parking packages include parking at Gatwick Summer Special Car Park, or a secured compound near the hotel. There is also a Meet and Greet option with parking provided by Maple Manor.

Summer Special package: Upon arrival, park outside the hotel, unload your luggage and report to reception for check-in. Then drive to the car park and use the parking e-voucher attached to your booking confirmation to redeem your parking at the Summer Special secure compound. If you do not have a voucher, please advise the hotel reception at check-in and they will provide one. After you have parked, the car park will provide a return transfer to the North Terminal.

Secure compound near hotel: On arrival at the hotel, please hand in your keys to reception. You will be asked to complete paperwork providing your return flight details. Your vehicle will be stored for a maximum of four hours at the hotel, then moved to a secured compound nearby. Your vehicle will be delivered to the airport terminal upon your return.

Maple Manor Meet and Greet Parking option: Drive to the Gatwick Sofitel Hotel using the directions provided. Please ring Maple Manor 15-20 minutes prior to reaching the hotel on 07801 142165 (or if busy, 01293 776 447) to inform them of your arrival. Park in the hotel car park and you will be met by your driver, who inspect your vehicle before taking your keys and leaving you to check in. (Your vehicle may only be stored in the hotel car park for a maximum of 30 minutes. Failure to call ahead and arrange collection of your vehicle may incur an hourly charge.) Parking period begins from the date of stay at the hotel. Extra days will be charged locally at the car park's standard daily gate rate.

Please note that if you are not booking a parking package, there is a charge for overnight parking at the hotel.

The convenience of the hotel for an overnight stay with Meet & Greet parking was once again ecellent. We had a very early flight and the ability to use the short walkway made it quite acceptable

We stayed the night prior to an early morning flight the following day. Easy to find, great location, 1st class service from helpful staff and beautiful rooms with the most comfortable pillows ever! Would strongly recommend and will certainly use again.

We chose the hotel & parking package as we had a 6am flight, and would definately do it again. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff were polite and helpful. We checked in the afternoon before, walked our cases with ease through the connecting walkway and checked our baggage in within minutes. We spent a pleasant evening relaxing, and had a good nights sleep in a really comfortable bed. All this made the early morning start a breeze and we would recommend it to everyone. Our car was collected within 10 minutes of arrival, and returned to us within 10 minutes of leaving the airport. Excellent, all round service made simple by booking through this site - don't hesitate!

the hotel was busy but calm service was professional and I loved that we did not have to lug our luggage on and of buses being able to walk across to departures was excellent as was the valet parking

the room and bed were first class, clean and very comfortable. I found the service in the restaurant in delivery time of the food, slow. The staff were pleasant taking the order. The food was very ordinary, and I felt a little overpriced, Overerall, I would definately use Sofitel Hotel again, The quick walkway through to the airport is a defiante PLUS.

The ongoing work at Gatwick airport meant that the covered walkway which I had read about in the hotel details was not open. This resulted in a walk over roads, through the car park and along a long slope with luggage,and was not just as easy as I had been expecting

Rooms were lovely and generally quiet but we found the lifts tiresome - slow becasue of heavy usage and not always conveniently situated. have to say most of the staff were very helpful a swe lost a purse and cards befoer our holiday. The met and greet situation was very good and made a great contributio nto the start nad finish of the holiday. We don't often use gatwick but would be tempted to use your package again. Thank you !!

We were put in a smokers room which smelt even though we're not smokers. The parking was off site which I didn't understand was part of the cheap price package. The hotel forgot to ring the transfer service to book our 4.00 a.m. transfer and we were late checking in. Nice hotel but the transfer was stressful.

My stay at the Sofitel was very pleasant. The hotel is excellent and caters for your every need. I would definately recommend a stop-over at this hotel. The room was very spacious and the bed very very comfortable. Staff are also very helpful.
