Hotel looks very scruffy from outside. Reception was ok, but was put on 6th floor. Was advised not to leave anything in car (found out why later!) not one lift in building working. Humped 5 large suitcases up 6 flights of stairs that had more dust and dirt on the carpet than the Adams Family would dream of. Rooms not too bad, beds seemed clean (ish)- I hope cause I convinced myself they were. Ate in pub downstairs, food was quite nice but lager and pop was flat. When parking car in secure carpark saw Jeep with drivers window smashed, when we returned a couple who caught the same coach as us back to the hotel had also had their car broken into. Not very secure. Coach arrived for airport at said time but then went on to another Britannia hotel to collect more passengers - there was not enough room for them and they were left behind (next coach due 1hr later!) We always stay in Manchester before flying but have never had such a bad experience. Will never stay in this hotel again. Dont do it, either save your money or splash out on Etrop Grange or similar.

Everything was good, but we could not use the transfer to the airport as it picks up at the other hotels and it would have made us late for check in. Maybe it could go a little more regular to help people.

Hotel decor needs to be updated, carpets on stairs extremly threadbare, elevators were out of order.

Hotel was easy enough to find, food was nice but the rooms were very disappointing considering the picture that you have on the internet of the rooms. It is very convenient for the airport but the rooms were very drabby and basic.

On the arrival I noticed a couple of cars with smashed windows... Apparently owners left sat-navs in their cars. The car park is cramped and in many places very dark - which makes a paradise for thieves. Lifts were out of order... I had to carry my 30kg bag from the 7th floor!

I would not have used this hotel if I had taken my car. A number of cars in the hotel car park had their windows smashed. Other than that I thought the hotel was good. It was quiet and relaxing and a very good price.

Extremely dissapointed at the transfer service. Not only did I nearly miss my flight due to the journey taking over an hour when it should have been 15 mins, but the baggage door on the bus flung open while in transit, resulting in 4 cases being thrown out onto the busy road. One of them was mine, and caused substantial damage to one of the wheels. I'll be enquiring about compensation!

Found the hotel really easily. Receptionist was very helpful and informative. We were given a week's parking at the premier parking at the airport, so we didnt need to go back to the hotel to collect the car. The price was exceptional considering what was included.

Would not leave my car at the hotel, too many already broken into and apparently 40 cars were broken into the previous weekend. Took my car on arrival to Premier car parks on the airport perimeter, to find out that the hotel is known locally as Faulty Towers!! Very poor; would never use again.

Rooms on same floor in some state of painting and repair and the smell of paint was very strong, the lift to the seventh floor did not work properly and we had to hand ball luggage up the stairs Not the best hotel I have stopped in recently, looks lovely in the photo though !

Due to infrequency of transfer bus I had choice of waiting nearly 1 1/2hrs or get a taxi back to Hotel (£7.40). Evidence of cars being broken into!!! CCTV of Carparking useless!!! During my trip away I had the constant thought of whether my car would be safe.

The airport paking was fantastic, actually at the airport, and no waiting around for transfers to and from the hotel.

The hotel we stayed in was terrible, not very clean, in the middle of being decorated, very dated, restaurant closed, hotel directions were worse than useless. I'm glad we were only staying there one night.

Hotel very basic, a bit run down, car parking didn't seem to be secure, a number of cars had broken side windows but hotel didn't seem bothered when reported? Felt very wary about leaving car. CCTV was in operation but not sure if it is checked regularly if damage to cars was occurring. Probably won't use again.

The hotel was very run down behind the scenes and really not a very pleasant place to be. The rooms could do with a complete revamp as they too were dirty and run down.

Directions to the hotel were accurate and easy to follow. The hotel, although situated on a main road, was quiet. The rooms were adequately comfortable. Our evening meals were good value and it was easy to believe that our holiday had got off to a good start. The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the airport. Parking was (in my case) under cover in a multi type car park. The entrances and exits were secure and well lit. The big disappointment was the transfer. A local coach does a circuit of several hotels and drops off at all 3 terminals. You have to wait at the bus stop just outside the hotel, which, during the hours of darkness may be a problem for some. Our coach was due at 03.45 but had not turned up half an hour later! The hotel staff were about to request a taxi (at their expense) when it finally showed up. I had little confidence in hanging around the aiport on my return so opted for a cab which cost £8.00. Pity about this unfortunate experience, but I can only call it as I see it.
