The lock to my bedroom was malfunctioning so I could not enter. I had to argue strenuously before the receptonist consented to call the floor manager. She claimed dorrectly there was nothing wrong with the key. I pointed out that the lock was at fault. Eventually the floor manager diagnosed a failing battery in the lock. After many attempts he managed to open the door. He then said I would be all right as I would have no need to leave my room until I left. This was 5pm and I was not due at the airport until noon next day. It was with great reluctance that he gave me another room with functioning lock, after I refused to enter the first room. Otherwise everything was fine apart from flooding in the only spare places in the car park. Luckily I had a spare pair of shoes!

Hotel instructions did not inclode Postcode of the hotel address which would have been useful to enter into my car GPS system. Instructions did not state that the Return coach would go to the same point at which it dropped us off. We had followed the signs inside Manchester Airport to "Hotel Busses".

The food was not at all nice.We requested a wake up call, but we did not get one. There were no arrangements to take us back to the hotel on our return from holiday. We had to pay for a taxi.

This hotel wasnt too bad good for parking and close to the airpot. hotel rooms need a little updating looks like it was in the middle of refurbishing but was still fine to stay. Did the job that we wanted. Staff were brilliant food good. would stay again not bad all in all

Reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried that the hotel would not be suitable but we were very satisfied with our one night stay. The room was a little shabby but very clean. We didn't have to use the courtesy bus as we were able to park at the airport which was very convenient. We would be happy to use the hotel again if we were to fly from Manchester again

After arriving at this hotel, we were booked on the morning transfers and given our room key. Our room smelt damp, the window would not close and the tap in the bathroom would not stop dripping and to top all this off the mattress springs had collapsed and the bed sagged majorly in the middle. As I have a lower back problem this was the worst possible start to my holiday I could have had. We then tried to order room service but was told this was unavailable due to staff shortages. We then headed to the restaurant where we were told it was also closed and only bar food would be served. When my chicken burger arrived it was still raw and I had to return it. After a very bad night's sleep we got up and headed for our transfers, to be questioned by the bus drivers as to whether we had booked or not. Seemingly the bus was overbooked and when we stated we had booked the bus driver replied with "everyone say's that". We ignored this comment and was on our way to the next pick up point. At the next stop we were waiting on the bus for some time and everyone was getting anxious as we all had flights to catch and the bus was supposed to be getting to the airport for 6:20AM and it was now 6:15am. My partner went to ask the driver what was happening while he was inside chatting to someone and the bus driver stated that the bus was overbooked and he would not be moving until the overbooked passengers had been taken into taxis. My partner stated our concerns and the bus driver was verbally abusive and confrontational. After my partner asked the taxi drivers to move a little and let the bus out the driver again came onto the bus and stated that my partner was arrogant and that the bus would not move until everyone was calm (would like to add that everyone was calm, only anxious as the bus driver did not seem concerned at all that the whole bus had travel arrangements to get to. The bus then left and we arrived at the airport late, my partner then had to lift most of the luggage off the understorage of the bus as we were running out of time. The bus driver then came off the bus and again was verbally aggressive and even went up to my partners face telling him to "come ahead" a few of the other passengers then intervened and we got on our way. I would just like to add that this was with no doubt our worst ever hotel stay and beginning of our trip to France together.

The hotel is basic but the rooms are comfortable (though a little worn) and the bathrooms very nice and well equipped. Morning transfers were great but there was a 30 minute wait on the return which at 10.00pm at night I didn't want so I got a taxi back. If you want value for money, it's actually very good overall. The only big issue was that the coach dropped us at terminal One in the morning and there is a very long walk across to terminal Two. I'd definitely book again!

On arrival we found it difficult to park and the car park layout wasn't great. We phoned to order room service and we're told that we couldn't add the total amount to our room bill we had to go downstairs and pay at the bar, my partner went down and whilst there was told he might as well take the tray up himself as the food was ready. Kind of defeats the point of room service when you have to do it yourself, more like self-service than room service! The food wasn't great at all and we both wished we had stopped at the motorway services instead to eat! At 10.30pm i called to order a taxi for 5am to get to the airport, i was told by the guy on reception "there is a free taxi phone down in reception, you can order a taxi from there yourself, take about 15mins to arrive". I explained that i wanted to order one in advance and he said he would put me through to taxi company. I spoke to the taxi firm and they said that Britannia usually have their own taxi service, but he booked it for me anyway and said reception would ring my room when the taxi arrived. By 5am no phone call had come, so i went downstairs. The lift buttons don't work properly on the 7th floor so i had trouble getting the lift to arrive. Once downstairs, there was no taxi and no-one around to ask. Finally by 5.10am the night porter appeared and i asked him if a taxi had come. He said it had but went away again cos i wasn't there. He said he tried to cal the room. How you "try" to call a room i don't know, as i was there the whole time and the phone didn't ring? Th night porter was helpful however and called the taxi back to collect me. All was fine and i was at the airport by 5.30am. Overall we weren't very impressed by the hotel and wouldn't choose to stay there again. Despite it being fairly cheap (£39 for the night), i have stayed in nicer youth hostels/B&Bs for half the price, with more helpful and professional staff, so i think they could do a lot better.

Ideal place for hotel parking.Very limited menu in resteraunt.Coach driver was the very ignorant and left us standing in freezing cold for 10 minutes while he finished a cig and a chat. Overall experience was excellent.

The bedroom was really cold and the bed linen paper thin. The window frames were covered in damp mould and the decor was very out of date. A disappointing stay given that our car was broken into in the hotel car park!

the transfer to the airport going was great but on return the timetable for the return to the hotel meant a very long wait for the bus. we therefore paid £10 for a taxi as we had been travelling for 6 hours already.would have been better if you telephoned on return.

I was bumped from the hotel that I had booked without any prior notice to a hotel a mile down the road. When I got there the second hotel were not expecting me so I had to wait for 30 minutes at the desk while they sorted it out. I was then allocated an extreamly small room which smelt of mildew and was in an annex of the hotel which was clearly having major building work done in it. The bedding on my bed was very old and stained and even had a 4cm blood stain on the counterpane. The bed also had only one very thin pillow. The bathroom was not thouroughly cleaned and had curley black hairs in it. My family dropped me off at the 1st hotel and fortunatley were there to take me on to the second hotel, but frankly the whole experience was very unpleasant and I would never use that hotel chain again.I did note that all the areas which were communial were quite nicely decorated giving a false image of the rooms behind that veneer but judging by the number of other clients I saw complaining I suspect that mine was not the only unacceptable experience.

on return my car was damaged and no report was made by the security patroll. i eas fully aware of the disclaimer notice in car park.due to this i would not recomend anyone to leave a car at this hotel,but would recomend the hotel.

For the money paid I really can't complain. The hotel was easy to find and the parking was right outside the door. The hotel room was clean but in need of an update. The meal I ate in the hotel restaurant was very average; but then I did arrive late and they could've easily turned me away so I shouldn't really complain! The transfer bus runs every hour so consequently we had a very early start in order not to miss our bus. On our return flight we jumped in a Taxi at a cost of £12 to save the wait. To conclude; fair value though I doubt we'll use again.

comfortable bedroom, value for money, had difficulty locating hotel despite directions as motorway not well signposted for exit point to hotel, motorway extremely busy between 4-7pm try to avoid these times or be prepared for a long wait. Will certainly use this hotel in future.

General ambiance of hotel and car park was poor and uninviting. The collection of grubby white chairs and tables at the entrance looked tatty. The reception area generally was unkempt and although the receptionist when I checked in was welcoming and helpful, she was scruffy and didnt give a good overall impression. The car park was lit but covered in rubbish and broken glass (which looked like glass from car windows). Although there were instructions for exit, the barrier had been removed. Bedrooms were a pleasant surprise after all this (comfortable and clean rooms), but I spent most of my trip away worrying about whether my car was safe. Also, I was irritated by only having 1 transfer per hour to and from the airport, as I usually use an offsite carpark where this is on demand, and this element wasnt clear to me when I booked. I will not use this hotel again, and next time I will pay more and go up market.

If all you want is cheap fine. We arrived after 10.00pm could get no food. Room service did not start util 11.30pm. we had two rooms they where on separate floors "because we didn't ask when booking them to be together" no oportunity to specify this sort of requirement when booking on net. Hotel standard well below what we have come to want. Maybe it is that you get what you pay for but rating should have been "basic accommodation, facilities and service".

at the time of booking i was not warned that we may have to take ourselves to the airport and park there. although it was not far at all, i had booked a hotel so that we did not have to think about ariport parking! also, the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE pillows, ever!!!

we expected to transfer from hotel to airport but on checking in were given a parking voucher.this was for us to drive ourselves to the parking book in etc which we were not expecting we felt this was not what we booked and were not too happy with this arrangement.we would not use the hotel again if this is now the way they are doing things we prefer the way it was on our previous visits.
