We have used this hotel 2 times now before flying, it enables us to get the drive out of the way, have some dinner and a few hours slepp before flying with the safe knowlegde that the car will be ready and waiting for us on our return. I made a mistake with our booking and booked for the following day so there was no quad room available for us but the hotel did everything they could to ensure we had a room. They managed to get us a triple ( kids did the top to tail bit ) and they did not charge us anymore money.

Hotel is nothing like it's description. On arrival it took ages to check in despite there only being 1 couple in front of me. Girl on car park desk was bordering on rude. 2 people in front of me were complaining and all she kept on saying was that it wasn't her fault. Had it not been late I would have left again. Rooms are very old and run down. On the good side it had aircon, free wifi and was cheap. Personally I won't use Russ Hill again.

lovely hotel,unfortunately the beds had seen better days, therefore very little sleep on a 4-30 rise. If they improved the quality of the beds it would be a perfet hotel for the airport.

though the room was clean it was nothing special. not happy that the car was moved,they parked it under a tree which resulted in numerous bird droppings.

room was very cold on entry, window was left open in january and heating was off, took ages to heat up, but very clean and was a good size, My car had a flat battery and a flat tyre on my return the gentleman in the office did everything he could to get me back ont road,

The bus going to the airport was very crowded - there were enough passengers for 2 buses. Hotel was good and met our needs.

All in all, it serves its function. I found there was a lot of queueing and waiting around - especially when we got back and realised we were at the wrong bus stop due to a recent change that wasn't very well advertised. Also, even though I am not particularly obsessive about the cleanliness of my car, I did find that it was plastered in mud when I moved it from it's tight parking space. Despite that, I will probably use this service again.

My daughter and i arrived at the Russ Hill Hotel not quite knowing what to expect. This was the first time for booking a hotel stay the night before we were setting off to our holiday destination. We were so excited when we arrived as it all seemed too good to be true. We sat in the car first,greatly admiring the beautiful building we were about to stay in. We booked in without any hitches and was politely informed of the facilities and restaurants available to us should we choose to use any. Our room was clean, and had all the basic things we could possibly require for our short stay.. It was so nice to be able to, chill out! Have a lovely bath and change. Later, in our own time we checked out one of the fabulous restaurants available to us. We chose the Italian restaurant and what a good choice we made! The food was just delicious, the staff extremely approachable and friendly. My daughter and i will be booking to do this all over again. We recommend this Hotel to the friends (we like!!) And we hope to relive our lovely experiences all over again very very soon.. What a beautiful and relaxing way to start a holiday..!! Ms Jayne and Miss Deana Leanne Streeter.

The hotel was a good experience. I did report the phone out of order as well as a non-working hairdryer. Overall the experience was a good one and value for money as was the meal I had on the evening of my arrival. Simplygo.com was an easy to use network and re4lliable rating.

We were unable to sleep due to high noise levels. This was the Christmas season & there are parties here, so if you want a good night's sleep prior to a flight, forget it! We had drunks outside our room till 2.30am. Car parking was disappointing. One guest's car had to be towed away as his suspension was broken by the parking staff, who said his car was at fault. The shuttle service was poor - just one an hour, in comparison with other local hotels. It may have been one of the cheapest hotels, but we would pay more in future for better service & facilities.

We have used russ hill hotel twice now and would recomend it to any one who as got a flight from gatwick . Parking was ideal and not far from air port only took about 20 minutes to get there . You arrive at the airport stress free and ready for your flight. Will go back again next time we go on holiday if are using Gatwick Airport.

Only comment the courtesy bus does not run frequently enough we just missed one on our return journey and ended up getting a taxi.

Very basic accommodation, and the transfer service and customer service could do with a bit of improvement, but its a good value option for long term parking and an overnight stop over

It lacked any warmth or atmosphere. The corridor where our room was smelt dam and the room was full of condensation and really smelt. It was cramped and unpleasant. I would not stay there.

I have stayed at the Russ Hill hotel twice and you cannot fault the staff or the restuarants, the rooms are good value for money but I am sure the sheets are not changed , which is such a shame as I would love to go again even though it is further than some hotels it is worth it and especially thank you to Sam for being helpfull.

It was January and the room didn't have central heating, but had a heater, the room was comfortable. Not much choice in the way of food for vegetarians.

Great value when you consider the parking and a half-decent hotel. Have a beer at the bar and go to bed - it's a no-brainer for early flights from Gatwick.

Difficult to find hotel. Room was small,uncomfortable and not very clean. Restaurant ok but expensive for quality of food on menu.Car parking and shuttle service fine. Unlikely to use this hotel again
