Airside - proceed through the Security Point at Level 2, turn left and pass the Duty Free Shops. Take the escalator next to 'Dixons' down one level and the lounge is located on the right.

The Cheviot lounge has a smart/casual dress code (no baseball caps, shorts or football shirts) and expects suitable behaviour. Flight information is only available upon request and it is the responsibility of guests to ensure they leave in time to catch their flights. Ticketed passengers only are allowed access to the lounge facilities.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff really friendly. Food very basic, bit of soup with bread buns and cheese and crackers therefore not great just for the food. The drinks were plentiful and plenty of choice so we found this good value for money and would recommend.

We always use the Exec Lounge at Edinburgh airport so I can only use that as a comparison, there you get to help yourself to the minibar and pour your own spirits but when I asked the waitress in Newcastle why they are different she said the bottles were actually being stolen so now you have to queue up just like in the outside bars? The price for the Lounge was also more expensive and to be honest it's just not that special but that's only my opinion others may love it?

Once again relaxing visit. Quiet and comfortable, I would rather have self service on drinks as it used to be in the old lounge rather than bar service.

This is the first time we have used Aspire Lounge and I will certainly be using it again. Fantastic service, facilities, food and drinks. The lounge is has very comfortable seating and lovely surroundings. Everything was fully stocked and there was no shortage of food and drink. Brilliant service, highly recommended.

The lounge was clean and provided adequate facilities for our requirements although the "quiet " area was occupied by a family with noisy young children whom they made no attempt to control.

Delays putting food out by badly organised staff. Then when eating the smallest bacon sandwich ever the bins from the ladies were brought through the lounge! Toilet floors wet. New location and layout of lounge made you feel like you were in a motorway cafe. Staff reluctant to pour drinks and made you feel uncomfortable asking for one. Shocking value for money. Used to be so pleasant. What a shame.

If you have to spend a couple of hours in the airport the lounge is almost as cheap and much more comfortable than the upstairs bars

Really good value for money. Breakfast was great and all spirits included in the price, even doubles if you're up for it!!! Good wifi connection. Excellent start to a holiday.
