As hotel is in a rural location, do not expect to be able to wander along the street for a meal etc after you check in. But meals on offer from the hotel were quite good and reasonably priced.

We had a dinner package, but couldn't use the restaurant due to a theatre visit. We were told we could use the bar, no problem, but the food was not hot. However, service was good.

We walked into our room and looked right down the river through a wall to wall picture window. The view was superb, the sun was beginning to set and there was a boat cruising along. Made me proud to be Scottish !
