Good place, mediocre food available, nice showers, but not enough sleeping chair areas.

The staff were friendly. You can really ask for things you dont have available like toothbrush and toothpaste. You can even borrow charger from them. Drinks are fantastic, food are always fresh but mostly bread. Overall the experience was great and can be recommended to family and friends who wants to have comfort while waiting for theie flight.

As always, crying babies were making things somewhat noisy. The lounge was comfy but I had a long layover and needed a shower, these were out of service.

A comfortable and clean environment with a good selection of food and drink. There are some recliners available which I failed to notice until I was due to leave, these are more comfortable than the armchairs if you are in need of a sleep. Great snacks and drinks are available continually.

great lounge, but noisy children and not the best food were a shame. fantastic shower!

I am writing this review as I am spending my time in the Oryx lounge for the 2nd time. The facilities are absolutely clean and spacious, the staff members are polite and helpful. The downside: the chairs in the sleeping boxes are curved in such a way that you may lie comfortably only on your back. The food is basic: 2 types of small sandwiches, 2-3 types of sweets, apples, oranges, hummus, coffee&tea, jam, soft drinks, juice. Free wi-fi. Overall, it's a good and quite place to spend long hours between the flights.

We had to spend the night at Doha airport, and we were really disappointed that there was no recliners or comfortable chairs for sleeping neither in Oryx lounge or anywhere else at the airport. (The Oryx lounge had 4-6 recliners, but those were the only ones on the airport) Though 90% of the customers tried to sleep during the night, there was a lot of light in the room, and at 6 AM we were told to get up because it was morning. The foods and drinks were fine, and the service was OK.

I stayed for 4.5 hours on a Saturday afternoon in March and the lounge was barely used. There must have been a maximum of about 20 people while I was there. This made for a very quiet peaceful experience. There is a smoking room for the smokers but being a non-smoker I didn't try this out. The food selection was awful with a few sandwiches and cake. There is a TV in the middle of the lounge with BBC World News. Some of the seats had power points (UK style sockets) concealed behind movable panels in the dividing walls.

Great facilities including shower area and waitress service with a good range of drinks available. very comfortable and excellent value for money.

Until the new airport in Doha has more to offer this is the best alternative for a long layover.

had an eight hour layover in doha and was glad of the availabilty of the lounge...as we arrived (around midnight)it was fairly busy but quickly emptied with last of the late night flights out...food and hot drinks available and replenished all night..alcohol available but not used...there were a number of loungers for full out sleeping on but they had to be monitored to claim ownership when vacated...the main seating i felt was too low and narrow to permit a pleasant snooze and the whole lounge airconditioning was too high and cold to make the wait that pleasureable..I know 4.15am is a killer time to be awake at any time but i felt cold,tired and a bit drained when it came to leave at 7.00am..would i use it again? yes if it was a daytime layover..with natural light and movement to offset the banality of airport lounges!

Should have a place for laying down, was very little to choose from regarding the food.

Will never make use of your facilities if possible due to you not assisting me when requested. Philip Opperman

There are 2 main areas, one with TV that's on all the time, then another where the Internet access is. This is the area if you want a little less noise. However the seats are not that good for sleeping, you need to pull 2 together, unless you are lucky enough to grab a booth.

Yes the lounge is good - you should maybe just have a few recliners in the area for people that has to wait for long periods of time.Also there were a few very LOUD and NOISY Russians which made it an irritating experience. Maybe also a wake-up service for people that are travelling alone.

Be aware! On arrival to the Oryx Lounge Doha confusion as our printed booking form had invalid barcode luckily I had my iPad and could show the email containing our booking.The lady at the desk asked me to send the email to them so she could allow us into the lounge, she was very helpful. It was well worth the money we had a 6 hour wait over which was very relaxing.

we stayed for 6 hours in the lounge and it would be nice if there were a place where you really could strech your body long out on a chair, still the the chairs were comfortable to sit on.

I was there from midnight til 6am and, although initially very busy, it was relaxed with very comfortable chairs. The staff were attentive and polite. I had read reviews that there was nowhere to nap, however I was able to get some sleep with my feet up, staff didnt seem to mind that everyone had feet on tables and chairs (shoeless, I might add) Food was basic however and alcoholic drinks served only til 2am so if your body clock is a bit mixed up and you think its dinner time you may be disappointed. Overall my experience of The Oryx was a positive one and would use again

Hi. our experience was really good. The only thing was that we expected a place to to sleep . we did not read that it was a lounge and that there were no sleeper couches . the staff were very helpful and friendly . thank you .

Gtrwat facilities to relax, eat and shower, I would have liked somewhere to lie, but it isnt set up for that. It was great to have a shower and they even supplied a towel.
