(3-6 Hr Stay) The Oryx Lounge serves Terminal A. Airside - after Security Checks and Passport Control, the Lounge is located on the 1st Floor, opposite Costa Coffee. The Lounge is also accessible to passengers traveling through Terminal B but will need to allow sufficient time to go through Immigration and reach departure gate.

important information

Please note due to relocation of Doha International Airport (DOH), the Oryx Lounge located in Terminal A will close effective 27MAY14. A new facility Al Maha Transit Lounge will open in the new Hamad International Airport (HIA) and be available for Passengers at the end of AUG14. There will be no temporary Lounge facilities available between this period.

Only uncomfortable issue was that people staying over night were very noisy and that people that only paid for three hours service used the beds all night through. You can put some control system with names on a board, or at least take the names of those on the beds so to enciurage them not to take advantage of the situation.

The sleeping areas are very limited. No privacy. The food is not so healthy

I was there in april 2014. I just think there is small quantity of comfortable seats for s sleep.

On the whole, a positive experience but there really should be more sleeping areas and the pressure in the showers should be relooked.

I needed to stay for 8 h at Doha's airport waiting for a connecting flight and spent 6h at The Oryx lounge. It's great. It's comfortable , safe, you can take a shower, and there is a buffet with many options ( and they all are delicious). I definitely recommend .

The lounge was very clean, comfortable, lots of space, I took a shower & managed to layout on a lounge chair & nap for 2 to 3 hours. It helped eliminate jet lag when I arrived in Berlin as I was showered & refreshed. Staff were friendly & very attentive. Food was fresh & plenty of it. This was the best direct route for me and will now use the lounge again & again.

Had an eight hour layover in DOH, so went to the oryx lounge. It was a bit hard to find, but once inside there was a modest but good buffet, wifi, outlets for charging devices (UK style sockets, so bring an adapter) and towels and a shower if you ask. There are a few very popular recliners, otherwise it's just armchairs, so I wasn't able to sleep as much as I'd liked, but I'd still go again in a heartbeat if the need arose.

This was really the nicest lounge I visited during my long travel-life. The offer of food was very balanced and the atmosphere is very agreable. Thanks to the very professional staff.

During my visit, it was crowded and the line to get in was rather long. The staff was professional and courteous. The food could have been restocked quicker, but I understand.

I arrived late evening looking to sleep a while. The seats were not designed to relax fully in. The air con was too cold for comfort. Groups of people were very loud. There didn't seem to be any quiet areas. There were children running up and down the aisles. I left the lounge just as unrelaxed as I'd arrived. The range of drinks available was good and the staff were very polite.
