We were greeted by a lovely young lady on reception, she couldn't have been better. The chef de rang in the restaurant was wonderful, so helpful, even when I had to send my cold fries back, it was not an issue. The room was very comfortable and clean. In the morning we had timed everything to a tee as we had paid for parking and transfer, we asked the chap at reception (he was not very welcoming or friendly), he said that he would call the transfer bus. The bus arrived and to our amazement the driver went into the hotel and didn't come out. I approached the receptionist who said it would be ably 10 or 15 mins. I then asked if he could call us a taxi, he stated 'we do not provide that service', I then laughed and said 'you can't call me a taxi', he said, rudely, 'only if you pay for it'. I stated that of course I would pay for it, he made a noise and continued to call. I am afraid that this left a sour taste as I have stayed in many Hilton Hotels and my last 2 experiences have not been to the standards that I have experienced in the past, I am sorry to say.

Our last night in Scotland was made absolutely delightful by our stay at the Airport Hilton Hotel, Edinburgh. Our room was very spacious and comfortable - bigger than any room we'd stayed in for two weeks. The bathroom was clean and attractive and had a large, long counter for all of our stuff. We didn't hear the planes at all! We went for dinner in the dining room and had one of the best meals ever - the food was perfectly prepared and the staff was attentive and friendly. The shuttle to the airport in the morning was quick and easy. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone!

Thought the breakfast was inclusive but wasn't! £17 each for a cooked breakfast and over £6 for one coffee.. rip off

Unfortunately I booked the room for the wrong date and had to cancel when I arrived at the hotel and re-book trough their own booking system.
