The No. 1 Lounge serving Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal is proving a favourite with travellers, resulting in only a few spaces left for the first part of May 2009.

The lounge opened earlier this month and has quickly proven to be a popular choice for air travel passengers flying out of Gatwick.  Between the 3rd and 9th of May the lounge has almost reached its capacity, so if you’re thinking of booking your stay at this great new lounge it’s a good idea to act now!

Of course, if you miss out on the No. 1 Gatwick Lounge you can still choose the Servisair Lingfield Lounge, which features many of the same amenities and also serves the South Terminal.

The opening of the No.1 Gatwick Airport lounge, scheduled for today, has been delayed until 13 April 2009 due to the construction taking longer to complete than originally planned.

This amazing new lounge serving Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal blends modern and classic design to stunning effect.  Windows from floor to ceiling provide fantastic, panoramic views of the runway and surrounding countryside, and guests will be able to treat themselves to a freshly-prepared meal or relaxing drink from the bar.

Destined to become a popular haven for customers wanting VIP airport lounge treatment, the No. 1 Lounge will be available to pre-book with gosimply.com as soon as it opens for business.

The Gatwick Servisair Lingfield lounge is to close on Monday 26^th January 2009 for refurbishment. The renovation project is expected to take approximately 3-4 weeks.

Passengers who have already booked this lounge will be notified of the closure and accommodated in the Servisair Ashdown lounge during the refurbishment period.

To find the Ashdown Lounge at Gatwick customers are advised to pass through the Security Search Area, through to the Departure Area and to follow signs to ‘Airline Lounges’. The Lounge is located on the left hand side before the ‘World Duty Free Shop’, Lower Level.

Once completed, the refurbished Lingford Lounge at Gatwick will be open for business with a new and updated look and feel, ready to welcome and serve.

Airport Authorities have reached an agreement with Servisair to move the lounge at Stansted Airport to a new, enlarged facility in January 2009.

The new location is 185 square metres, which is more than double the size of the existing Servisair Lounge, and will feature comfortable leather seating for up to 60 people.  Of course, travellers will still enjoy all the other benefits of booking a stay in the airport lounge, including free refreshments, WiFi Internet access, and fax services.
