The lounge was quite, very clean, staff very helpful and it gives you time to relax before boarding your flight. My holiday starts from the minute I enter the lounge, its all part of the holiday and everyone should consider it.

Compared to other lounges that I use including BA Club this lounge tried to deliver an upmarket service by using waitress service, in my view this failed completely, having to wait to get the attention of a waitress did not work, this appeared to be being used to apply a strict control on consumables, the range of consumables was poor, there was a very limited range and quantity of newspapers and magazines

I have used No 1 Gatwick twice, 2 days after it opened and 4 months later, I was not disappointed, I will never use any other lounge now and will fly out of Gatwick just so I can use the No 1 lounge. Don't miss the experience.

Upon arrival the receptionist greeted us well and we then sat in comfy seats and drinks were brought to us and the order taken for what we wanted to eat. Cereal and fresh fruit were also available. It was a good way to begin the holiday. Would certainly do again.

I really liked the over all feel of the lounge. However the staff were slow and the choice of food and drinks that were included in the entry price was limited.The food is a small snack..only! This was Not made very clear during the booking process.

The only minor complaint was that the lavatories perhaps needed more regular attention to avoid hand tissues becoming an issue. Other than this, as I say 'minor', thing, we were very pleased with our experience.

This was our first time using a lounge, we opted to because we have 2 small children who are prone to wander. We were greeted warmly and immediately offered a selection of hot or cold food and drinks. The children loved the yummy pancakes whilst we went for hot bacon rolls with fresh coffee. The facilities, comfort, refreshments and staff were outstanding, we couldn't have asked for more, thought it superb value for money and will never fly again without checking into a lounge.

Totally relaxed area away from the usual noise and strees of the airpoirt. Highly recommended

It was very good value for money and certainly made waiting at the airport a much better experience than normal. Customer service was poor and did disappoint as we had to physically go and find someone to get the menus, order the tea/coffee and ask them to replenish the food trays. But on the whole it was still worth the money.

they need a menu board to show that it is possible to have other food eg bacon rolls! Also, there were few newspapers despite the fact that we were there at around 7.00.However, it was a comfortable lounge which provided a relaxing start to our holiday- thank you. Vicky Campbell

This was the first time in a VIP lounge for us, but sure to not be the last. We found the staff to be friendly and very accommodating. The lounge was nicely temperatured, and an exceptionally comfortable place to begin our long haul holiday. The drinks and snacks on offer were of good quality, and the facility was generally very clean throughout. Thanks No. 1 Gatwick !!

The ambience was tranquil which set the scene for our long weekend away. The pastries were fresh and the coffee hot, strong and served with a smile. Only one jarring note, the toilet facilities were somewhat less than fragrant and did not match the rest of the amenities. I would use this service again.

This was my first time using an airport lounge and I will always book a lounge from now. It is so relaxing, and probably works out cheaper when you take into account the cost of buying food/drinks etc when airside waiting to depart. It was quiet (although my I was there from 9am-10.30 so I don't yet know about later in the day, and there were plenty of seats. Service was courteous and efficient. Definitely worthwhile.

The surroundings and facilities were superior to other lounges we have used in the past. The range of freshly-cooked snacks were impressive. We would have preferred the opportunity to help ourselves to drinks (as you can in other lounges). The only other draw-back was that you could not take magazines/papers with you - we could in the ServiceAir lounge. There was a more adult feel to the lounge, which meant it was quiet and calm.

On arrival we saw a family get up and leave just as their food was delivered, we didn't know how long they had been there so drew no conclusions from this. However, it was about 15 minutes before we were asked for our drinks order - two teas an one coffee took about another 15 minutes to arrive. We were then given a food menu and it was some time before our orders were taken. about 10 minutes after that we were told one item was not available so salmon was ordered as an alternative but we were told that would take 20 minutes. Having arrived early we just manageed to finish our food before having to rush off. the impression - a complete 'rip off'.

The lounge is very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The staff attentive and polite. Good views of the runway. BUT the breakfast was very disappointing. At 8.30am there was no hot food left at all and what was on offer on the cold stand left a lot to be desired - small pastries,3 choices of unappetising cereals and a bowl of "fresh fruit" with very little fresh fruit in it. They did mamage to rustle up some toast for us. Facilities excellent, food extremely poor.

A great Lounge and the only one I have been in where you are waited on. Clean, comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and it was all included in the price. Would definately use No 1 Gatwick again.

it would have been nice to have a sparkling wine available in the ' included' section of the menu - a cava would suffice apart from that, everything was really nice. staff were very attentive and caring.
